Martha "Marty" Jo Brentise

Martha “Marty” Jo Brentise of Valdosta, passed away July 9, 2022, in the early morning hours under the excellent care of the nurses and doctors at Langdale Hospice House. 

Marty loved to dance, play cards, and spending time with her sister, Margaret. Marty was always on the go and enjoyed traveling.

Marty is survived by her three sons: Gary (Dee) Schlafke, Jeff Schlafke, and David (Ariel) Brentise; Sister: Margaret Hart; granddaughter: Loriann Schlafke; family friends: Kim Sheffield and Stacey Woods; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her Father & Mother: Bud & Alice Lewis; Brothers: Jimmy Lewis, Dickie Lewis, and Sonny Lewis.

Visitation will be 6:00 pm on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Warren Funeral Services of Quitman. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Warren Funeral Services of Quitman with Minister John Chick of First Christian Church of Valdosta officiating. Burial will be immediately following the Funeral Service at Friendship Cemetery.
