Obituary

Mr. Donald Wayne (Don) Cox, age 71, of Lake Park, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 13, 2021.   He was born in Montgomery County, Tennessee to the late Richard and Hazel Cox. Mr. Cox worked in law enforcement in Thomas County and with the Boston, Georgia Police Department.  He was also a long-haul truck driver. Mr. Cox loved fishing, playing the guitar, and at one time was a horse trainer.  He always enjoyed helping others. He is survived by his daughter: Hazel Nunn; granddaughter Samantha Nunn.  Stepchildren: Linda Kay (David) Neely; Alicia (Coy) Porter; Amanda (Trevor) Lehman.  Step-grandchildren; Alyssa Neely; Royal Neely; Madison Porter; Colby Porter; Noah Porter; Kassidy Lehman; Kaitlyn Lehman; Ayden Lehman.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Kay Edmondson Cox, and his parents Richard and Hazel Cox.

Private services were held Monday, March 15, 2021.
