William Raiford Courtney

William Raiford Courtney of Moultrie, Ga passed away February 15, 2024.

William was a Bishop of the Church of God and pastored for 30 years.

He is known and remembered for his love of his family. The family has fond memories of William drawing on napkins at restaurants when they would go out to eat. William enjoyed putting together picture collages. His family and their well being were his priority.

William is survived by his wife, Brenda Courtney; sons: Bobby Ray Courtney, John Raiford (Melissa) Courtney, and William Leslie (Jennifer) Courtney; daughters: Brenda (Jamie) Haynes, Melinda Sangster, and Michele Beck; brothers: Bobby (Debbie) Courtney, and Ronnie Courtney; seventeen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

William is preceded in death by his parents: John Courtney and Mary Courtney and his brother: Jimmy Lee Courtney.
