Mary Jane Ward

Mary Jane Price Ward, 64, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025. She was born October 8, 1960 in Cleveland, Mississippi.

Mary was loved by many. With an infectious smile and radiating beauty, she made sure to use it for good. As a renowned pageant winner with too many titles to count, she was an advocate for brain injury awareness. She utilized her platform for good and made an impact on many people.

Along with being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother Mary also earned quite a few titles and notoriety throughout her life. Some notable titles that Mary won are Ms. Florida, Ms. U.S. World Fitness, Mrs. Panama City. She was also a Thunder Girl and Ballroom Dance Smooth Dance Champion.

She is survived by her loving husband, Steve Ward; daughter, Dusty (Ryan) Smith; son, Jason (Sarah) Anderson; step-sons, Tyler (Emily) Ward and Jonathan (Marlo) Ward; grandchildren: Devin (Angel) Roberts, Zane (Lexi) Roberts, Maci Rae Smith, Baylee Anderson, William Anderson, and Kaden Hornsby; great-grandchildren, Abbie Lynn Roberts, Hailey Roberts, Dawson Ward, and Emmett Ward; sisters, Linda Gilliland and Carol Patterson.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, James Sterling "Buddy" Price; mother, Janet Price; and sisters, Becky Price and Toni Odle.
