QUITMAN – Carol Warren Smith was born August 5, 1965 at Brooks County Hospital to Felton & Lois Warren. Carol grew up in the Quitman Community and was known to many as the "4H Lady" or "Mama Carol" over the years. She loved being the 4H Director and had a passion for watching all the children and young teens excel through the program.

After 23 years of service to the University of Georgia Ag Extension Agency, Carol retired in 2018.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mike Smith of Quitman; her children, Justin (Amber) Smith of Quitman, Kelly (Michael) Gribble of Lake Park, Jordan (Ronni) Smith of Quitman, and Hope Cook of Monticello. She was a wonderful "Mimi" to Bailey, Catelin, Drew, Audrey, Jackson, Avery, Jordi, Madison, and Ty.

Carol is also survived by her mother Lois Warren; Brothers, Donnie (Martitia) Warren, Dwayne (Lee) Warren, and her sister Lisa Griffin, all of Quitman. She was preceded in death by her father, Felton Warren.
